Documents required for MERP:

  1. Application letter (stamped 10000 IDR);
  2. MERP application form;
  3. Sponsor’s KTP and Family Card;
  4. For sponsors of husband or wife of Indonesian citizens, attach a Marriage Book, ID Card and Family Card;
  5. Original passport and photocopy;
  6. Original KITAP and photocopy;
  7. KTP and KK of foreigners from Disdukcapil (Department of Population and Civil Registration);
  8. Sponsor and Guarantee letters;
  9. For foreign workers as the highest leadership in the company, attach a photocopy of the latest IMTA and RPTKA as well as company documents;
  10. For Foreign Investors (PMA) attach the latest IMTA and RPTKA, Recommendation Letter from BKPM and company documents;
  11. For sponsors of Indonesian parents, attach the applicant’s Birth Certificate and Parents’ Marriage Book;

Why do we need ERP (Izin Masuk Kembali)?

Exit and Reentry Permit (ERP) is a written permission for foreigners to legally exit and re-enter the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. Possible to have renew for 6 months, 1 and 2 years. Also you need to make ERP if you already left country and didn’t make EPO.

  1. Single Re-Entry (no longer issued, only Multiple Re-Entry)

This Single Re-Entry document was valid for 3 months.

  1. Multiple Re-Entry (MERP)

This Multiple Re-Entry Document is valid for 6 months or 1 year, some even up to 2 years.

Re-Entry Permit process:

  1. Submit documents to the immigration service, presenting the original documents: passport, KITAS/KITAP.
  2. Get a receipt for the application and pay for it.
  • Multiple Re-Entry Permit for 6 months at a cost of PNBP 600.000 IDR + 450.000 IDR
  • Multiple Re-Entry Permit for 1 year at a cost of PNBP 1.000.000 IDR + 450.000 IDR
  • Multiple Re-Entry Permit for 2 years at a cost of PNBP 1.750.000 IDR + 650.000 IDR
  1. Documents can be picked up at the immigration office (passport with re-entry permit stamped, KITAS/KITAP).

Conditions

The term for obtaining a ERP is 3-5 working days from the date of payment
