Dependent KITAS is available to spouse or children if one of the parents already has KITAS/KITAP.

Children of a foreigner can get a Dependent visa if one of the parents has KITAS/KITAP. The spouse is also eligible for this KITAS. For example, if you are employed (have a Working KITAS) or are an Investor KITAS holder, your children and your spouse may receive Dependent KITAS.

Are you in Bali? 

We can start the Onshore Process: we will make the transition to KITAS from your current visa when you are already in Indonesia. The exception is Visa on Arrival (VoA), which cannot be converted to KITAS. If you are abroad, please proceed to the chapter on obtaining a Dependent KITAS under the Offshore Process.

Required Documents (from Applicant):

• Bank statement from the account of the Applicant or Sponsor (minimum 2000 USD);
• Sponsorship and guarantee letters;
• Your passport (18 months Validity);
• Marriage certificate: translation into English / Indonesian notarized in your country, or legalization through the consular department of your country’s embassy in Indonesia;
• Letter of approval from the holder of the main KITAS/KITAP.

Additional for Children (Under 18 years old):

• Birth certificate of children: translation into English / Indonesian notarized in your country, or legalization through the consular department of your country’s embassy in Indonesia;
• Indonesian Spouse ID/KTP if you are married to an Indonesian citizen.

Steps to get Dependent KITAS Onshore:

• Bring the documents to the office of our visa center;
• We need your passport as well as copies of the required documents. Prepare a set of documents with sponsorship letters for the release of KITAS;
• During this process, we will invite you to be photographed and fingerprinted at the immigration office;
• You will later receive your passport back with information about your KITAS.

Let’s start the Offshore Process if you haven’t come to Indonesia yet. If you are currently in Bali, please proceed to the chapter on obtaining a Dependent KITAS under the Onshore Process.

• Full vaccination certificate for COVID-19.

• Indonesian Spouse ID/KTP if you are married to an Indonesian citizen.

Steps to get Dependent KITAS Offshore:

• Send us all the required documents, our visa agency will issue the e-visa VITAS through the Jakarta General Immigration Office;
• After arriving in Indonesia, you need to exchange VITAS for KITAS within 30 days. Recently, this procedure takes place at the airport immediately upon arrival in the country. Watch the video instruction: follow the ITAS Online sign to the ITAS Online Counter, present VITAS and your passport, you are photographed, fingerprinted, an ITAS sticker is pasted into your passport, later KITAS will come to your e-mail.

Process duration

• Onshore KITAS Process: conversion from ITK (B211A) to KITAS will take approximately 4-6 weeks.
• Offshore process will take approximately 1-2 weeks.
